How do I keep my home number while using a travel eSIM for data?

Use dual-SIM: keep your home SIM (or home eSIM) active for calls and SMS, and set the ByeRoaming travel eSIM as the Cellular Data line only. That way 2FA texts and calls can still reach your home number while maps and apps use travel data.

  1. Install the ByeRoaming eSIM (do not delete your home line).
  2. Set Cellular Data / mobile data to the travel eSIM.
  3. Set voice / SMS default to your home line.
  4. Turn Data Roaming on for the travel line; leave it off for the home line.
